Hi, I’m Manli

I am a code-aware digital designer from the Netherlands. Having worked with various web dev agencies as a part-time and freelance designer for about 2 years, I can design digital interfaces that create value for both the business and the user based on a given brief.

I am most proud of my ability to analyze and apply user and market insights as a basis for decision-making, and I pay close attention to detail during the design process.

Currently, I am looking for a role as an in-house designer to take my career to the next level.

Personal Background

Often times I’d come across brands that provide an amazing product/service in person but when I look at their online presence they give off a completely different feel. My goal is to improve customer journey while achieving a consistent online presence that matches with the offline experience.

My interest in visual and web design started way back in my late primary school years. When I discovered the internet, I learned about the basics of uploading images but also more complicated practices such as using HTML to create a scroll box. I spent hours on my dad’s laptop teaching myself bits and pieces of html and css coding and image editing – and I loved it.

In 2018, I moved to Denmark from the Netherlands to study multimedia design in order to pursue a career that speaks to my passion. This is where I learned about the intriguing world of UI/UX research and design. But the studies alone wasn’t enough to satisfy my curiosity, so I started taking on web design assignments outside of school.

Revisiting my childhood passion and picking up my design skills are the best decisions I’ve ever made.
